Effectiveness of Panchavalkala Pralepa and Jalaukavacharana in Reducing Duration for Regression of Vranashopha w.s.r. to Cellulitis: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Acharya Sushruta was well aware about importance of Vranashopha (stages abscess formation), Vrana (wound) and their management in surgical practice, along with its unfavourable untreated complications. Among all-available treatment modalities for (Cellulitis), Jalaukavacharana Panchavalkala Pralepa found to be more effective by considering feasibility, adoptability, cost-effectiveness curative results. Lepa local application Methodology: In this present study, Jalaukavacharana, which one proven therapy compared easily available drug Pralepa, directly on Vranashopha, find out effectiveness. A total 70 patients were randomly selected divided two groups. done group B respectively once 5 days observations are noted 1st, 3rd, 5th, 10th 15th day result assessed thoroughly basis observation according specially designed proforma. Result: all four criteria, low cost throughout year. Conclusion: it concluded that shown significant improvement reducing pain, swelling, redness, temperature healing wound at affected site without any side effect. Hence, can useful (Cellulitis).
